Engineering Analyst

Job Requirements:
Associate Degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have two or more years experience in an analytical, technical or high level administrative support position. Demonstrated ability to gather, document, analyze various data and present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to track and report on the progress of various projects/programs. Demonstrated ability to complete multiple projects or assignments simultaneously, while working well under pressure, and with the capability to rapidly adjust to changing priorities. Must be able to responsibly handle confidential information. Demonstrated mid to high level working knowledge of Excel and MS Access.

 

Preferences:
Degree: BA/BS. Undergraduate degree Business or related field. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Working knowledge of the following SCE online systems: FRSM, PRJM, PCAM, TWRS, MMSM, APSM. General knowledge of accepted project management processes. General knowledge of the work order planning, construction and closing processes.

 

Typical Responsibilities:
The Program/Project Analyst will compile, verify and input data used to track and manage costs, deadlines and projected work loads associated with the Distribution Engineering Organization projects and programs. The analyst will construct, monitor and project both Capital and Function budgets. The analyst will be required to compile and interpret historical data and develop cost and man-day estimates for future projects. The analyst will be expected to interface with individual engineers and managers to insure that an accurate account of all projects is being maintained at all times. The analyst will also interface with both the Project Management Organization and the Distribution Project Management Organization to perform monthly reconciliation audits.
