FIS Analyst (068748)

JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Troubleshoot and address production billing failures as well as providing input on problem fixes
Assist with system testing
Interact with the Systems Development and IS to resolve outstanding system change requests
Monitor Electronic Submission carriers to ensure billing schedule is occurring appropriately
Prioritize IS Requests on the Daily Submission and Remittance log (DSR) based upon urgency and/or any established deadlines
Communicate status of IS Request(s) to appropriate people (requestor, management, divisional contacts, etc...)
Develop carrier contacts and act as liaison between carriers? EDI area and LabCorp
Participate in one on one discussions and/or conference calls with carriers and IS to discuss electronic billing and/or remittance
Write requests for new development or changes pertaining to electronic submissions and/or remittance
Provide timely and appropriate feedback to Management with expectation of discussion or questions
Communicate with proper grammar in verbal and written communications
Capable of using system resources (TSO, QA, IOF, Mobius, etc) for review or providing input to IS or Systems Development
Work with conversion team to identify new electronic development for submission and remittance as well as potential issues with upcoming conversions
Maintain effectiveness with dealing with multiple priorities
Must have knowledge of MS Office, TSO, Turnstyle, and Monarch

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.

Machine: Calculator, personal computer.

Physical Demands: Speech clarity, repetitive motions?making frequent movements with fingers and hands, standing?remaining on one?s feet in an upright position, sitting?remaining in the normal seated position, handling?seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hands.

Vision Requirements: Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed. Far acuity?ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more; near acuity?ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; depth perception?ability to judge distance and space relationships; color vision?ability to distinguish and identify different colors.

License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science w/1-2 years of experience or 3-5 years of experience in healthcare industry billing.
