Finance Analyst for Personal Financial Services

The person holding this job is the controller of the Consumer Loan products/portfolio originated out of the Personal Financial Services (PFS) line of business and will report to the Manager of the PFS Direct Sales Finance Support.  The controller is responsible for home equity lines and loans and other Consumer Loan products originated via the Branch Network, Call Center, On-line channel as well as through Wealth Management bankers.  The Consumer Loan controller is the primary point of analysis and communication to the PFS Product Management Team, PFS Line of Business Support, and Corporate Finance functions.  In addition, the PFS Consumer Loan controller interacts with the National Real Estate Services Line of Business Finance support in analyzing/reporting the fulfillment costs associated with PFS Consumer Loan products.

 

The primary responsibility of this individual is to provide finance support to the PFS Consumer Loan Product Management tea. Financial support includes both financial and management reporting and analysis of various views of the business, for example distribution and origination channel, customer, and product. 

 

Activities include supporting product pricing, return on equity analysis, capital allocation analysis, FTP analysis, development of detailed product p&Ls, reporting, forecasting and budgeting, as well variance and trend analysis. In addition, this individual will support and maintain management accounting activities such as activity based costing.  This candidate will also be responsible for ad-hoc requests and special projects.

 

The requirements for the successful candidate are as follows:

 

A bachelor?s degree in Finance and/or Accounting is required, MBA is preferred. 

 

At least 10 to 15 years financial experience in positions requiring financial and management accounting/reporting knowledge.  Strong Financial Analytical skills are required. 

 

Ability to communicate detailed factual information to develop and recommend a solution or approach to his/her manager.  Also requires an ability to work/communicate closely with PFS Executive Management as well as the ability to effectively work with individuals at various levels of the organization and in different disciplines.

 

Effectively work in a dynamic work environment, adapting to and managing change independently.  In addition, the person must be able to develop solutions autonomously.
