Job Description
The Business & Financial Analysis Senior Manager leads and manages monthly and quarterly financial business analysis of Accenture?s financial results. This lead is a key role in Accenture analytics and assesses/advises executive leadership on business drivers of margin variances including Gross Margin, BD & Overhead, and SG&A. He/she has expert knowledge of Accenture?s business and operating model, including the management reporting economics, US GAAP principles, and financial statement techniques, and can readily analyze and interpret between GAAP accounting and internal management financial results. This position interacts with Accenture leadership, and the individual must be able to articulate and advise in a crisp and concise manner on business issue recommendations and action items.
The Business and Financial Analysis Senior Manager is responsible for following:
? Project leader for financial and business analysis of Accenture?s financial performance, examples are:
? Gross Profit Margin analytics, key drivers, and recommended business action items;
? Sales General & Administrative financial analysis, key drivers, and recommended business action items;
? Business Development and Overhead financial analysis, key drivers, and recommended business action items;
? Analysis of Accenture?s GAAP Income Statement, Balance sheet and Cash flow Statement in preparation for 10Q/10K MD&A comments and as an analytical tool that leverages the quarterly earnings cycle.
? Key subject matter expert of Accenture?s financial statements, including EVA financial concepts.
? Periodic analysis of Accenture?s Weighted Average Cost of Capital, key drivers and overall assessment, which is then utilized in corporate level analyses, including SVA, and also used to establish the capital charge of the annual plan.
? Preparation and integration of Board and Audit Committee materials
? Overall management responsibility of financial content of analytics and reports for senior management. On point to communicate and/or present results of analyses to senior management.
? Manage, challenge, motivate, coach and counsel finance team members
? Key point of contact for integration across the finance function on hot analytical topics.
? Key liaison to the SG&A business operations team, global controllership, finance operations, and many disciplines within Finance.
? A key point of contact for important and urgent ad hoc business analysis (key issue of the day)
Qualifications
? Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
? 10+ years experience in a financial analysis role
Professional Skill Requirements
? MBA strongly preferred; CFA or CPA is a plus
? Must possess in-depth knowledge of Accenture?s business and operating model, key economic drivers of the business, cost flow principles, R3/BW reporting, GAAP reporting, financial statement analysis including P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and Credit/Cash Returns, and global chart of accounts. This is necessary for the day-to-day analysis that is required of this position.
? Strong understanding of US GAAP principles
? Must possess strong critical thinking skills
? Proven ability to work analytically in a collaborative problem-solving environment
? Ability to clearly identify early warning indicators of impending business issues
? Proven ability to prepare/communicate financial statement analysis from an external valuation perspective.
? Must be able to comprehend large data sets and quickly identify trends & issues
? Solid understanding of Accenture?s industry sector and competitors, and a solid understanding of their financial strengthens and competitive positioning
? Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
? Able to prepare analyses and reports under tight timeframes and strict deadlines.
? Willing to have a flexible schedule / work overtime, and work closely with the Senior Executive of the team
? Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
? Strong supervisory, coaching and project management skills
