 Finance Internal Control Coordinator/Reconciliation Supervisor

 

Incumbent will be responsible for internal controls and procedures for the financial department.  Controls to include quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley testing, general ledger accountability, and scheduled audit reviews.  Work with the staff to test procedures and work flow.  Supervise and support Reconciliation Team.  Assist with the resolution of issues of risk and/or procedural discrepancies.  Assists with the implementation of general ledger system conversions to assure the accuracy is safeguarded.  Participates in procedure development as it affects the general ledger/reconciliation process.  Assist in documentation and conduct scheduled testing of internal control structure as it relates to the COSO framework to help meet the requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.  Assists conversion teams in ensuring accurate conversion of General Ledger accounts.  Establishes conversion tasks and monitors progress.  Assists with developing policies and procedures that affect account reconciliation.  Works on account reconciliation strategic plans.  Advise management of deficiencies in critical financial process or policies and make appropriate recommendations for changes.  Assist in providing an internal control environment.  Coordinate scheduled internal and external audit reviews.  Monitor and review weekly General Ledger batch entries.  Monitor quarterly review and collection of all balance sheet accounts.  Process integration of general ledger for any acquisitions.  Perform backup role for various processes

 

Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience in a reconciliation/SOX related position.  Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.  Minimum of 3 years experience in a Supervisory role.  Excellent communication and attention-to-detail skills required as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
