Finance Project Manager

 

BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit healthcare organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. BJC Information Services provides hardware and software technology solutions to strengthen the quality and overall service in our hospitals.  Specifically, BJC IS manages computer application development and implementations for clinical, financial, and ancillary software applications.  Presently, we seek to hire an experienced Finance Project Manager for the BJC Information Technology Finance Team.  Specific responsibilities will include:

 

1) Financial responsibility and reporting for IT capital and operating budget.  Includes the following:

? Annual operating budget creation ? work with a number of Directors and Managers to pull together budget data, as well as roadmap of prior vs. current year expense.

? Variance analysis of budget vs. actual expense on a monthly basis

? Establishing/recommending process and procedure for financial tracking and reporting

? Management and coordination of capital budget process; reporting of capital results, etc.

 

2) Chargeback billing to BJC Hospital and non-Hospital entities

? Work closely with Supervisor to create quarterly chargeback billing for all BJC entities. 

? Assist Supervisor with creation of annual chargeback budget

? Ultimately will have significant involvement in re-engineering/automating/simplifying the chargeback process ? to include working closely with IT Account Executives as well as BJC entity CFOs to develop additional reporting requirements.

 

3) Ad hoc analytical projects as assigned.  May include lease vs. buy analysis, staff planning/analysis, license management, contract management, and metrics/benchmarking

 

Our ideal candidate will possess:

 

? Bachelor?s Degree with major/emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (CPA preferred)

? Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and ability to multi-task

? Self-directed individual who is comfortable working independently on projects and initiatives as assigned by Supervisor and/or department Directors.? Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with delivering presentations and training sessions to various staff and mgmt. levels

? Ability to effectively interact with staff and management at all levels in the BJC organization

? Experience with MS-Access and/or general database design and use required

? Excellent PC software skills ? MS-Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

? Experience with General Ledger accounts, reporting, and journal entries.

? Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

? Ability to analyze and plan financial process flow

? Supervisory experience required
