Financial Analyst

Under general supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for assistance in planning, developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts in support of financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
 Provide financial support to Business Partners across the company
 Develop and coordinate financial forecasts and external guidance, including forecasts for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows
 Assist in the coordination and delivery of the annual budget, including preparation of the financial database input/reporting tool, product forecast models and ad hoc departmental budgeting support
 Prepare financial and analytical tools to support key business decisions
 Build reports from the financial database and other sources to review product sales drivers, departmental expenses and other financial measures
 Research and identify revenue and expense variances relative to set objectives
 Prepare ad-hoc financial support and analysis as needed
 Work closely with Accounting, Investor Relations and others on key financial matters
 Other tasks as may be required within the Finance department

 

Preferred educational background:
BA/BS, MBA a plus

Preferred experiential background:
4-6 years related experience, depending on the candidate, with a solid understanding of Accounting Principles. Experienced analytical and problem solving skills. Complex understanding and creative experience in using various reporting tools, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, the Microsoft Suite and financial database software (e.g. Business Objects, Hyperion, Oracle, Cognos). Understanding of the functionality of an ERP system (e.g. JDE, SAP, Oracle) is helpful.
