Position Description:

Chevron Global Supply and Trading (GDST) is accepting online applications for a Financial Analyst (0608-50092979) located in Houston, Texas through August 24, 2006.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to the Downstream Supply and Trading business and working experience in a variety of financial activities including the accounting close, management reporting, and financial forecasting. This position reports directly to the Manager of Consolidation and Reporting and involves numerous accounting systems (SAP-EP1, SAP-PC2, Essbase, SQL).

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees and coordinates various aspects of the accounting close and management reporting processes for one or more of Global Supply and Trading business units.
- Prepares, validates, reports and analyzes financial results.
- Analyzes consolidated results for consistency, alignment, reasonableness and market drivers.
- Works closely with and provides guidance to business unit personnel in connection with financial matters.
- Assist and works jointly with business units to prepare earnings forecast and budgets.
- Provides change control around data structures and cost center hierarchies.
- Works jointly with IT and others in connection management reporting systems.
- Ensures that processes, procedures and controls are in place that comply with GAAP regulatory requirements, and Chevron accounting and financial policies.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor's degree or higher required in Accounting/Finance
- CPA Certification preferred.
- Relocation benefits will be considered.
- Overtime normally incurred montly during closing cycle.
