Job Description:

This position is part of a high profile group within our client's Finance area.  This position will support all functions delivered by the team including:

Forecasting:  Pproviding near and long-term financial forecasts.  The Client's financial forecast is executed in conjunction with quarterly earnings and is governed by SOXA process controls.  The forecast reflects key operational metrics and relationships, risks and opportunities, with review by all major stakeholders including groups such as legal, contracts, tax, and senior account management.  The process is run in conjunction with the operational ?grounds up? forecast, with the team providing direction and support to operations throughout their planning efforts.  The team maintains a close relationship to contract management, and is involved with all operational issues on the account.  In this faculty there is emphasis on understanding and reporting detailed metrics and trends. 

Reporting:  Provided to a variety of parties including Client's Management, EDS Global Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as directly to EDS Senior Executives, the EDS Board of Directors, and External Parties (including security analysts) - due to the profile of the client's contract and its importance to EDS.  The understanding the team has of the total account financials through the forecasting process is leveraged in the areas of New Business Analysis and Special Projects:

The team is responsible for costing and pricing all significant deals sold under the agreement.  Because most significant deals sold on the account utilize at least parts of the core client's network, there is complexity in this area in taking knowledge of existing operations and applying it to new service offerings.  This function of the team also involves pricing strategy, risk and opportunity analysis, contract understanding, and accounting interpretation.

Special Projects:  The ?big picture? the team has is required  for many things including contract modification discussions with the customer, ROI analysis on capital investments or productivity investments, cross-functional operational issue  resolution, and risk/opportunity sensitivity analysis (what-if scenario analysis).

Overall, this team provides a wide range of services to a wide range of audiences.

Job Requirements:

Financial Analyst ? Advanced: The individual to fill this position should have advanced-level finance skills in complex financial modeling and analysis, especially in the area of financial forecasting and/or pricing of complex business.  Should have strong skills with reporting, excel, and strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and work closely with others.Person needs to be a quick learner, independent and hard working, and wishes to learn skills to open doors in their career in EDS.  Solid financial acumen (proficient in Microsoft Excel),  and interpersonal skills are a must.

Financial Analyst ? Senior: The individual to fill this position should have senior-level finance skills in complex financial modeling and analysis, especially in the area of financial forecasting and/or pricing of complex business.  Should have strong skills with reporting and strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and work closely with others,.  The individual to fill this position should be a quick learner who has proven matrix leadership skills, who can solve complex problems, create processes, and motivate others on a daily basis.  This position will build a foundation for a career in EDS leadership.  Solid financial acumen (proficient in Microsoft Excel),  and interpersonal skills are a must.
