Financial Analyst - Fixed Assets (TOPS)

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Capital Management
Liaison with ACS, NBCU outsourced fixed asset group, maintaining standard process for asset tagging, tracking and disposition procedures for TOPS
Key team member of NBCU enterprise-wide fixed asset "wing-to-wing" solution
Create, drive, and maintain processes and tools to automate core financial tasks reducing manual touch points and increasing the value of the data created by these processes company wide
Perform random audits of Fixed Assets on a quarterly basis
Actively participate in NBCU Fixed Asset Simplification and Capital initiatives
Represent TOPS together with the FP&A Director for PP&E audits by Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) and external firms
Pace Operator Capital Spend against Operation Plan and Estimates
Consolidate Quarterly estimates, SI, SII, and OP for TOPS PP&E and depreciation
Compile operator input to create TOPS Quarterly and Yearly Capital Accrual

FP&A
Support FP&A manager in consolidating Quarterly Estimates, SI, SII and OP
Drive Sundry Receivable Collections in conjunction with Finance Mgrs and FMP to Monitor Billings and Collections
Consolidate Quarterly / Estimates Bottom Line Allocations to Other Divisions (~$100MM annual); Maintain baseline Analysis
Account reconciliations - Automate backup information / Consolidate Quarterly Reconciliations for TOPS Team
Assisting with development / maintenance of FP&A Quickplace - standard reports, metrics, improve flow of communications

Qualifications/Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree Required
Minimum 2 years of accounting and finance background

General:
NBCU Television Operations & Production Services (TOPS) provides production and distribution services for Network, Cable TV and TV Stations, as well as managing all NBCU real estate. In carrying out these duties, TOPS invests significant amounts of capital to drive strategic initiatives in addition to supporting day-to-day operations. The analyst will play a critical role in the controllership, management and forecasting of annual capital investments totaling $100 million. This team member will manage P&L budgets and participate in the Simplification, Capital Controllership and Process Improvement Initiatives. This position offers the unique opportunity to learn all components of the NBCU operation in addition to exposure to Senior Financial and Operational leaders as well as the opportunity to expand responsibilities beyond capital, with implementation of a streamlined capital process.
