Financial Analysis Manager

 

The Financial Analysis Manager provides technical leadership in identifying objectives, key issues, performance metrics, resources required, timelines, and results.  This person also sets strategic direction of projects, demonstrates in-depth technical knowledge, and provides high quality technical expertise to a broad array of issues.  This person will be supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial analysis in support of BCC Large Group Sales senior management.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and month-close reporting in support strategic business unit. Researches projects to identify and evaluate new business opportunities. Manages projects to deadlines, which may include leading people and managing deliverables. Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis, as well as actively participating in or leading in developing recommendations and action plans. Responsible for initiation and resolution of complex financial problems requiring technical expertise. Works on problems where analysis of financial data and/or input from other areas requires evaluation of identifiable factors, an innovative solution, and effective and collaborative leadership. Develop complex financial models via Excel to analyze data and situations to provide effective business solutions. Mentors, trains, and coaches lower level Financial Analysts. Provides quality customer service to clients as well as ensures promotion of service-oriented approach to assigned functional area(s)



Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.  A minimum of 5-7 years progressive accounting or finance experience. Demonstrated ability to explain/bridge statistical and operations metrics to financial results. Full command of P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Forecast and Plan process, and volume/rate variance analysis. Must have advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel or Access; General Ledger accounting system experience preferred. Exceptional oral and written communication skills; Highly confident and exudes professionalism.  Also will need the ability to gain credibility quickly in highly sensitive situations. Has the ability to adapt his/her communication style to effectively interact with different personalities.
