Financial Analyst - Securitization

 

FIELDSTONE INVESTMENT CORPORATION (NASDAQ: FICC), a Maryland corporation and the parent company of FIELDSTONE MORTGAGE COMPANY, is a fully integrated mortgage banking company. Fieldstone originates, sells and services non-conforming and conforming single-family residential mortgage loans secured primarily by first liens and retains a portion of its high-quality non-conforming residential mortgage loans to build and manage an investment portfolio. We are currently searching for a Financial Analyst to focus on Securitization.

Description:

Responsible for supporting Portfolio Manager and VP for Securitization with execution, documentation and analysis of asset backed financings and mortgage market analysis Serve as key team member that executes 4 to 6 billion in asset-backed securitizations in each calendar year collateralized by REIT portfolio assets Assist in structuring transactions for best execution Coordinate internal aspects of mortgage loan operations related to executing securitizations including: Mortgage loan inventory management and pooling Third party due diligence Servicing transfers and custodial certifications Accounting for transactions Supporting documentation for internal controlsAssist with the negotiations with and coordination of external third party transaction participants including: Underwriters Counsel Accountants Rating Agencies Servicers Derivative counterpartiesAssist VP for securitization with transaction contracts and program disclosure documentation Perform market and competitive analysis to support best practices and business development Assist with the design and production of board and investor marketing materials, as well as investor conference coordination Assist with the development and production of securitization program surveillance and reporting for management reports Assist with ad hoc special projects including portfolio optimization through bond calls, whole loan sales and new product development and financing

 

 

Essential Requirements:Understanding of financial concepts Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are required Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with financial models and financial data Experience with relational databases and computer programming helpful, but not required Proficient with Microsoft Office products

 

Education / Experience

 Job requires an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Finance, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience Prior working experience in the following industries is helpful: Mortgage and asset-backed securities Corporate Trust Mortgage Banking Fixed income investments
