Imc2 Inc is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and organized Senior Financial Analyst


Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Department:  Finance

Reports To: Vice President - Finance

 

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for working closely with Client Service personnel in the coordination, preparation, and analysis of revenue forecasts and monthly client billings, and the related revenue accounting entries for a professional services company.  Additionally, this position will work with Client Service, Finance and IT personnel to analyze the revenue forecasting, billing and revenue accounting processes and recommend and implement improvements to such processes.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS include the following:

* Excellent organizational skills

* Superior communications skills

* Heavy Excel and financial modeling experience

* Process analysis and reengineering experience

* Database experience

* Ability to lead a project plan and process to ensure the successful execution

* Ability to manage multiple tasks

* Excellent problem solving skills

* Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting or Finance

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Coordinate the overall revenue forecasting process with operations personnel

* Prepare and develop revenue forecasts

* Monitor and analyze variances and trends related to forecasts and budgets

* Identify potential financial risks & opportunities in the revenue forecast

* Research and answer forecast and budget related questions

* Prepare revenue accounting entries on a monthly basis including related deferred and unbilled revenue entries

* Develop presentations related to revenue and revenue processes

* Prepare and maintain budgeting and forecast tools

* Develop new budget tools and methodologies

* Propose process changes to increase efficiency in budget process

* Support, research and report with regard to special financial projects as assigned

* Excellent attendance record required

* Able to work overtime as needed

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

*This position requires a college degree in finance, accounting or a related field with a minimum of 7 years experience in finance or related functions, balanced between budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and general accounting.

 

*The position requires excellent organizational and financial analysis skills as well as strong leadership, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

 

*Maximum proficiency in the utilization of computers and all common software packages is also mandatory

 

CPA desired
