Financial Analyst (TaylorMade-adidas Golf)

Position Summary:

 

This position provides financial planning, accounting, reporting, and analytical support for TMaG HQ Operating departments (focused on Marketing & IT teams) in conjunction with the preparation, presentation and analysis of actual results, budgets, and forecasts to Finance management.  Position reports to the Manager of Planning and Control.

 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

 Coordinate and prepare annual Opex/Capex budgets Prepare monthly reforecast of expenditures and analysisPrepare and review monthly actual results and analysisProvide financial analysis for business area planning and decision makingSupport IT in the strategic business planning/budgeting process by consolidating regional submissions and preparing various variance analyses and resultsPrepare required accounting entries, accruals, and prepaidsTrack capital budget/forecast and depreciation expensesFacilitate executive mandated budget adjustmentsResolve issues between business area managers / controllers / regional contactsPrepare required corporate and internal audit schedulesPerforms other related duties and assignments as required Develop effective and efficient ways to accomplish work requirements

 

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

 

Education:

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.

 

Work Experience:

Minimum 3-4 years of experience of applicable financial reporting, accounting, planning, and analysis in a corporate environment, with direct coordination and communication with functional business area management.  Experience in working with marketing and/or IT departments, and management is a plus.  Experience with golf, sporting goods manufacturer or similar consumer goods industry is a plus.

 

 Knowledge and Skills Requirements

 

 

Position requires thorough understanding of accounting, budgeting, and financial statement principles, concepts, and analysis.  Skills required include advanced use of Microsoft Excel and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and executive staff.  Must be detail-oriented and a self-motivated team contributor.
