Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The NBCU Television Group is comprised of all of the company's television assets: Network Entertainment, Cable Entertainment, TV Stations, TV Production & Distribution, Global Networks, Sports, Olympics, News & Information, Telemundo and Business Development. With over $2B in operating profit and nearly $2B in cash generation projected for 2006, it makes up roughly 2/3 of the NBCU operating results. In addition to consolidating the financials for the group's co-CFOs, the TVG FP&A team prepares presentations and performs analysis across the various operating divisions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insight into the business models and operating dynamics of each of these unique television assets as well as exposure to senior NBCU Finance executives.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The role of the analyst will be to provide support for the FP&A team in several key areas. Specifically:

Assist in all aspects of cash analysis. This includes consolidating all cash flow submissions for estimates, plans and closes and providing variance analysis in conjunction with the Director of TVG FP&A (to whom this position will report). With an increased focus on cash across the company, there will also be a terrific opportunity to help define key cash metrics across all TVG operating divisions.
Assist in all aspects of cost analysis, including developing metrics around headcount and SG&A spending trends for the TVG and divisional CFOs.
Assist in all aspects of the GE simplification initiative. This includes driving process rigor around general ledger budgeting and reporting as well as helping with the SAP implementation across TV Group.
Manage the ~ $100MM TVG capital budget including acting as the liaison with the MediaWorks FP&A team and explaining key variances.
Assist with presentations for NBCU executives, including SI, SII, investor relations, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
Flexible mindset to be able to take on new challenges outside of the job description as they arise
2 years finance/accounting experience
Excellent analytical ability
Strong interpersonal skills
An ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management
Knowledge of financial reporting software a plus (PeopleSoft, SAP)
FMP, Greenbelt preferred
