Financial Analyst in Miami

Job Summary:

The financial analyst will perform financial planning and analysis activities and will report to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. The position will implement and administer effective planning, budgeting and project proposal systems, utilize discounted cash flow analysis and other quantitative analytical techniques to support corporate decision-making.

 

Essential Functions:Prepare summary consolidations, evaluations, commentaries and presentation of budget and forecasts to senior management, board of directors and outside parties.Proactively prepare consistent and accurate analysis and recommendations for ad-hoc or budgeted projects.Implement and manage systems, databases and processes aimed to facilitate the control and analysis of budget, capital expenditures, projects or reports.Provide analytical support to departments on projects and activities. Assist management with analysis of projects using quantitative analytical techniques including but not limited to discounted cash flows or regression analysis.Develop and update financial forecast models in a spreadsheet or equivalent software, including but not limited to M&A, labor, fleet replacement, route profitability, product profitability, industry competitiveness, and capital expenditures trends, to support the analysis and forecasts.Participate in review and analysis of open items during the monthly close process.Review and analyze monthly-consolidated financial results of assigned business units.Provide accurate and timely reports for regulatory and contractual compliance, including but not limited to T-100. Develop systems and controls that assure the accuracy of such reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree Accounting or Finance Experience in airline industry (preferred).PeopleSoft knowledge (preferred).Advanced Excel/Access experience.Ability to work with non-structured tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
