Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

General Summary
The Manager, FP&A reports to the Financial Controller-US and is responsible for all aspects of supply-chain financial management and analysis for the $200MM+ annual COPS expense generated by the Away From Home US business team. He or she will manage and provide financial leadership to the divisional Total Delivered Cost (TDC) and Enabler reporting effort / team; will maintain strong working relationships with and provide applicable financial guidance to our manufacturing Plants, Procurement, Co-manufacturers; will manage overage inventory controls, analysis, and balance sheet reserves; will develop COPS budgets in the annual strategic and operating planning processes; will maintain and present ongoing COPS variance analysis and other detailed COPS analysis and reporting; will identify and manage risks and opportunities to COPS budgets in concert with the cross-functional AFH Supply Chain team.

Principal Accountabilities
Serves as functional finance leader supporting AFH-US supply chain team. Provides fiscal oversight and guidance to supply chain initiative and activities. Maintain strong personal and reporting relationships with manufacturing plants, procurement and co-manufacturers to ensure effective oversight and flow of information. Responsible for coordinating and delivering required business unit and corporate financial analysis and financial reporting for supply chain activities. Leads and executes planning and development of annual COPS budgets. Evaluates Plant and co-manufacturer costing and budgeting processes. Maintains in-depth, ongoing COPS variance analysis for the AFH-US business, Monitors and controls other supply-chain related components of the P&L. (30%)
Manages monthly closing processes and reporting for AFH-US COPS accounts in coordination with US Thermal and Canadian supply chains and co-manufacturers. Ensure compliance with divisional and corporate controls. Manage and monitor divisional supply chain balance sheet accounts (i.e., finished product inventory balances and overage inventory reserves. (20%)
Leads, executes, and drives divisional alignment on TDC and Enabler project tracking processes and reporting efforts in coordination with R&D, Supply Chain, and Plant and Procurement counterparts. Assesses and monitors fiscal impact of new and ongoing cost-savings initiatives and negative cost drivers. (20%)
Throughout FY 07 (and beyond as necessary) coordinate and executes preparations for AFH-US transition to SAP as related to supply chain financial accounting and analysis activities (20%).
Perform other AFH financial planning, management and analysis duties as required. (10%)
Job Complexity
Represent Finance functional interests and responsibilities independently and authoritatively. Engage supply chain, plant and other company management to resolve issues and exploit opportunities quickly and professionally.
Work and lead effectively on a cross-functional team. Develop excellent relationships with supply-chain, finance, R&D and procurement personnel.
Ensure integrity and fiscal accuracy of AFH-US Total Delivered Cost (TDC), productivity, and other supply-chain financial reporting activities, controls and analysis.


Education & Experience
Minimum education required: Bachelor degree
Education preferred: Master degree (MBA or Finance)
Minimum Experience: 5-8 years

Qualifications
Plant Accounting or Controller experience.
In-depth knowledge of plant budgeting and costing methodologies.
Strong data management skills--ability to integrate data an analysis from various sources.
Solid financial systems background (i.e., SAP, BPCS, Financial Workbench, Hyperion, etc.) -- experience with SAP strongly desired.
Project Management and leadership skills required.
Ability to communicate effectively to Senior Management
Ability to influence others to accomplish cross-functional objectives
