Description Overview : Ernst & Youngs Risk Management and Regulatory Services (RMRS) practice is a global advisory practice that provides integrated risk management advisory services to leading Investment Banks, Commercial Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Energy Companies, and the Corporate Treasury functions of leading Fortune 500 Companies. RMRS engagement teams provide clients with solutions to help identify, measure, manage and monitor the market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks associated with their trading, asset-liability management, capital management and other capital markets activities.
RMRS employs individuals with financial services risk management, trading, regulatory, quantitative, technology, operations and accounting backgrounds. The breadth of the experiences of the RMRS professionals enables the practice to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of risk management services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well integrated manner.
Job Description :
RMRS is recruiting professionals to work on multi-disciplinary risk management engagements. RMRS engagement teams assist clients to improve financial product business processes, analytics, strategy, and organizational structure. Engagements address trading, risk management, capital measurement and valuation processes and controls in the fixed income, commodity, foreign exchange and equity cash and derivative markets.
RMRS members are interested in diverse experience advising clients across the various risks inherent to their capital markets activities and welcome the learning opportunities that a broad spectrum of engagements provides.
Qualifications
Requirements :
We are currently looking for individuals at various levels with between 2 - 10 years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in at least one of the following areas:
Industry Experience
Risk management, front office, finance, middle office and/or back office activities within financial services organizations;
Banking/Capital Markets CPAs with financial product valuation, control and accounting experience;
Familiarity with Basel II requirements or Federal Reserve and OCC examination standards viewed as favorable. Product Experience Valuation and/or transaction processing knowledge of fixed income, commodity, equity and foreign exchange cash and derivative products; Risk measurement methods and disciplines including value at risk, economic capital, stress testing and model validations; Understanding of capital markets trading functions and related control processes; Capital markets accounting knowledge (e.g., FAS 133, IFRS 39, FIN 46, EITF 02-3, Fair Value Measurement) viewed as favorable; Sarbanes Oxley 404 process and control documentation and testing viewed as favorable.
Overall Professional Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills; Team work and leadership skills; Problem solving and solution development; Project management experience viewed as favorable.
In addition to the above, qualified candidates will have a Bachelors or Masters in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline.
