Description Ernst & Young's Financial Services Advisory (FSA) unit is a specialty advisory practice that provides integrated market, credit and operational risk management as well as regulatory, process improvement and treasury advisory servicesto financial institutions and other capital markets participants. FSA includes individuals who are industry, client, and product specialists as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. All these professionals work together to coordinate the delivery of value-added risk management services to a variety of clients. These include commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance companies and energy trading companies.

Responsibilities
Risk Technology Managers work directly with clients to transform their business problems into technology solutions. In addition to managing a team of risk management technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, Risk Technology Managers lend particular subject matter expertise to the design and integration phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the appropriate architecture, data model, and system design and interfacing requirements.

E&Y's Risk Technology professionals team with client technology professionals, and/or third party strategic alliances to provide the implementation of technology solutions.

Qualifications

To deliver these comprehensive services, we are looking for individuals with:

* a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering or a related field; (an MBA or MS degree is preferred)
* a minimum of 6 years of experience working in the credit or risk technology sector of the financial services industry, with at least2 years spent in a managerial IT/business integration role (technology experience within Capital Markets/broker-dealer area would be very beneficial)
* a demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing
* strong communication, presentation, client servicing and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating risk management knowledge with technology skills
* strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies
* a deep knowledge of technical architecture design and a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in that architecture

Successful candidates must also have the ability to travel approximately 30%-50%.
