Job Summary:

The Motley Fool endeavors to build top-quality special reports -- write-ups from several to 50+ pages showcasing our best analytical thinking in packages both sensible and scintillating. We need a Renaissance man or woman with left- and right-brain talent to juice our process -- someone who can rewrite financially intensive prose without flinching, come up with fantastic report ideas on the fly, and smell stinky investment logic a mile away? and with as keen a marketing nose as a financial one. If you've got the bandwidth and organizational skills that come with this territory -- along with the desire to grow as an analyst, writer, and Fool -- we'd love to hear from you.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Objectives:Brainstorm winning special report conceptsIdentify and reach out to appropriate report contributors Edit reports for content and concept (but not grammar), rewriting cumbersome sections as necessaryPerform research related to reports and potential reports

 

Core competencies:Powerful intellect and ability to learn very quicklyMagnificent rewrite abilitySense of marketability of financial topicsDetailed knowledge of investment analysisUnflappable logical thinking skills Above-average organizational skillsCandidate must "get" Foolishness and understand the Fool ethos.

Education and job knowledge:Undergraduate degree and potent knowledge of investing, stocks, and financial markets. MBA and/or CFA plenty welcome.
