Financial Systems Analyst

Job Description: This position reports to the Manger, Financial Systems and Analysis:  Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Hyperion Financial Management  (HFM) system as well as supporting any new financial reporting systems that are required to generate timely and accurate financial reporting. 

 

This position is responsible for the direct maintenance and support required to keep the company?s financial reporting software operational during the month.  This is a critical role during financial month, quarter, and year end close periods as well as during budgeting and forecasting periods when usage demands require a high degree of support. This support would include daily maintenance, additional configuration of the software to meet the changing needs of the business and extensive report development as required.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

? Serve as primary contact person for the HFM application for the Accounting team, Corporate Finance, Operations Finance, and Billing Credit and Collection. 

? The incumbent will perform required daily functions, provide ad hoc requests to users, and provide extensive user support that is frequently required.

? He/she will ensure proper functioning of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), develop and implement rollout strategies and test plans for new releases, upgrades and patches.

? The incumbent will be the primary interface with the company?s IT organization to provide additional support needs. 

? He/she will ensure that HFM reconciles to all source systems which either directly or indirectly feed HFM.  This position will also be responsible for the development of Hyperion-based reports as requested by end users.

 

Qualifications:

? Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area and at least 3 years of relevant experience or some combination of education and equivalent years of experience.

? Experience with Hyperion Products, preferably HFM or Enterprise, Reporting.

? Knowledge of reporting tools such as Hyperion Reporting.  A substitute for direct experience on one of these platforms would include experience on one of the following systems: Cognos, Crystal Reporting, Access. 

? Should possess several years of business experience.  Need to understand business requirements in order to effectively implement required processes.

? Strong inter-personal communication skills

? Able to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.

? Must be able to work both as a team player and individually as appropriate.
