Fixed Assets Manager

The position of Fixed Asset Controller is responsible for fixed asset handling and processing as well as the Capital/CER system used to track CER?s and spending.  The duties in the area of fixed assets includes establishing policies needed to insure a standard handling of assets across the company, insuring that controls and procedures are in place and followed, and providing reporting as needed.  Duties related to Capital and CER?s include insuring that processing and handling occurs in an appropriate manner as well as performing post-audits on all major projects. This position is also responsible for the FA module within PeopleSoft; training, report maintenance, etc.  This positon manages one support person.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years in accounting department with strong ties to the handling of capital and fixed assets.Accounting- BA Degree

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fixed Asset Area

?  Establish and review policies related to fixed asset handling and processing.

?  Review asset transactions to insure compliance with policies and standard accounting practice.

?  Provide reporting as needed by corporate accounting or operational accounting to meet regulatory or other requirements.

?  Work with auditors to provide information as needed.

?  Work with plants to perform post-audit and ROI calculation for large projects.

 

PeopleSoft FA Module

?  Responsible for FA module within PeopleSoft.

?  Ensure GAAP and Tax books are properly stated.

?  Ensure month-end processes are completed and reconciled.

?  Responsible for field training (corporate & plants)

?  Ensure proper reporting is in place both at corporate and field usage.

 

Capital/CER System

?  Insure that capital system is being used correctly and that routing and requests are handled appropriately.

?  Coordinate changes as needed in the system to provide functionality and control as needed.

 

Special Projects:

?  Provide support in special projects as needed and manage plant controller projects- ongoing.

?  Corporate accounting ? provide information and reporting required to meet management and regulatory requirements.

?  Operational Accounting ? provide information and reporting required to meet management requirements.

?  Corporate Tax ? provide information and reporting as needed for tax reporting.

?  Corporate Engineering ? system and process information as well as other information as needed.

?  Occasional travel to plant sites and/or brokers office in the U.S. (probably 1-2 trips per year)
