Global Consulting Finance Manager

Job Overview:?
Provide analytical support regarding financial operating results for cost centers within Global DC Operations.?? Prepare variance analyses, detailed forecasts and operations results reporting.? Serve as project controller for internal investment projects funded by Global Consulting.?

Relationships with Global Consulting leadership including Global Service Area Leaders and Global Chief of Staff, firm leadership include Project Partners and Project Managers on Global Consulting firm projects.? This position also interacts with cost center managers within Global Consulting.? Other relationships include DTT Financial Accounting team and finance/accounting
contacts in the member firm country practices.? Peer relationships include other financial analysts within Global Consulting.

Job Responsibilities:?
- Financial Operating Results - Review and analyze monthly reports to ensure accuracy of costs.? Prepare timely and accurate reports at the end of each accounting period regarding the operating results for each of the cost centers within Global Consulting.? Consolidate data from various sources (SAP General Ledger, DTT Solomon reports, etc.) and maintain accurate tracking records of interfirm transactions.
- Headcount Reports - Prepare reports each period to track full-time positions within Global Consulting.? Prepare analyses on various parameters affecting headcount.
- Forecasts - Prepare accurate forecasts each period for the cost centers within Global Consulting.? This involves not only consolidating data but communicating effectively with the cost center leaders.
- Internal Billing to DTT - Prepare the internal invoice
from Global Consulting to DTT in order to consolidate all Global Consulting costs on the DTT financial system.? This involves careful review of all costs posted to the SAP general ledger and subsequent mapping of these costs from the SAP format to DTT's Solomon format for reporting purposes.
- Financial Corrections - Ensure that US SAP and DTT general ledger cost corrections are processed accurately.? Persistence is required in pursuing the corrections and ensuring that they are processed accurately.
- Global Firm Projects - Maintain financial tracking/reporting for all Global Consulting firm projects including reporting on project-related hours and expenses to each project team and also providing consolidated reports to Global Leadership on financial progress against budgets.? Other activities include working with the various country practices participating in the firm project to process the necessary interfirm transactions to reimburse the country practices for expenses incurred on behalf
of the project.? Regular communications (via status calls and email) with each project team's leadership are critical.? This position must have a solid understanding of any project risks that would prevent the project from achieving its deliverables or exceeding its budget.
- Ad-hoc Reports:? Create as requested by Global Consulting Controller and Global Leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including presentation skills necessary to address senior leaders of the firm.
- Self-motivated and organized (able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously).
- Strong skills in computer applications, especially advanced Excel functions.? Familiarity with SAP General Ledger and Essbase are preferred.
- Aptitude for working with financial transactions, including general ledger reports, journal entries, and accounts payable.? Familiarity with
interfirm invoicing procedures is beneficial.
- Attention to detail in preparing reports, tracking transactions and pursuing corrections to general ledger.
- Ability to work independently as part of a "virtual team."? Moderate travel is required (10%-15%) to other US Deloitte offices for the purpose of reviewing operating results and forecast with Global Consulting Controller.??
- This role is highly suitable for a telecommuting work arrangement if desired.
