The Global Technology Company (GTC) owns the intellectual property of GE Healthcare imaging business (GEHC). The Finance Leader is on the Board of Directors for the GTC legal entity and has controllership responsibility for the $4 billion of intercompany transactions related to the use of the intellectual property and tangible property flow within GEHC.
Primary responsibilities include:
*Provide insightful financial reporting through analytics, metrics, and communication
*Assist in the calculation of royalties and operating fee through the analysis of financial statements of affiliates globally; provide direction to other business units regarding invoicing of royalty income and expense; operating fee and R&D reimbursement.
*Work with GENPact resource to execute the quarterly invoicing of the royalty, operating fee and R&D reimbursement.
*Advise Treasury on transfer of funds for royalties, operating fee and R&D reimbursements Analyze global engineering base cost to calculate the R&D reimbursements for affiliates and lead the annual update of technology ownership in conjunction with the modality engineering managers. Lead the integration of acquisition intellectual property into the GTC model.
*Interface with Legal, Engineering and Financial Planning & Analysis of other key business units.
*Prepare and present business plans (World Wide Product Planning (strategic marketing plan), Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan) and Operating Plan)
*Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close for GTC and audit affiliates to ensure proper execution quarterly transactions
*As a Board Member of GTC, participate in quarterly GTC Board of Directors meetings
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration and minimum of three years of financial work experience; or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration and minimum of two years of financial work experience in a finance leadership development program such as GE's Financial Management Program (FMP); or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of ten years financial work experience including analyzing financial data and recommending actions to business leaders
* Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
* Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
* Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
* Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros
* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background
* You must be willing to take a drug test
* You must be willing to work at our Waukesha, WI facility
Desired:
* Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
* Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
* Experience working in a matrixed environment
* Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values
* Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
* Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
* Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
* CPA or equivalent designation; or demonstrated technical accounting expertise as demonstrated by experience with GAAP and FASB
