Procurement Operations Manager - Mountain View

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The Procurement Operations Manager, working within Google's Finance Procure-to-Pay team, is responsible for all aspects of the transactional procurement process worldwide. This includes ownership of the Oracle procurement modules, management of Buyers, compliance with fiduciary controls, and architecting/implementing future process and system enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Procurement Operations function and team worldwide within the Procure-to-Pay organization.
Working with IT, ensure Google's Oracle purchasing systems operate reliably and correctly on a daily basis, including system administration and set-up, identification and remediation of failures, and testing related to boundary systems.
Manage buyers creating POs for production purchases, and manage the relationships with the corresponding internal customer groups.
Deploy and maintain supplier catalogs.
Create and publish monthly metrics indicating procurement process performance, and continually refine the metrics over time.
Provide reporting, as well as consulting on usage of procurement data, to internal business partners including financial controllers.
Serve on teams responsible for large-scale IT systems implementations, providing representation for the procurement process and systems.
Lead projects to improve the transactional procurement process, working with peers responsible for Accounts Payable and Supplier Sourcing.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend information technology solutions to meet strategic objectives globally while achieving the lowest possible TCO.
Ensure the procurement process is compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley and other controls.
Requirements:
BS/BA or equivalent in business or related field, MBA and/or professional certification a plus.
5-10 years experience managing procurement processes and systems at an expert level, preferably in an Oracle 11i environment.
Excellent people management skills.
Deep knowledge of the entire procure-to-pay process, including workflows and fiduciary requirements.
Experience deploying and managing procurement systems projects, preferably including supplier catalogs.
Knowledge of SOX requirements related to procurement.
Excellent presentation skills and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Very detail-oriented.Excellent PC skills (including Excel, Microsoft Project, Power Point, etc.).
Ability to create a work environment that is motivating and productive.
