Hands on NFP Controller / Sr. Acct w/ Grants exp- $75K (RJH)

Are you a Non-Profit Accountant looking for an opportunity to take your general ledger accounting skills to the next level in a leadership role? My client, a small Grants and Membership funded Non-Profit organization dedicated to improving the efficacy of Non-Profit Executive Boards throughout the US, is currently seeking a hands on Non-Profit Controller to join its NW Washington, DC office team. Key Responsibilities include: * General Ledger Accounting * Financial Statement Preparation * Overseeing Month End Close and performing related monthly financial reporting * Federal, State, and Private Grants accounting * Overseeing staff of two junior accountants * Acting as main point of contact for all organizational banking relationships Qualified candidates will have: * Bachelors Degree * 5+ years hands on full cycle Non-Profit general ledgers accounting experience, at least 1 year of Grants Accounting experience is preferred * 1+ years of supervisory experience * Hands-On work ethic * Great Plains experience a + but not required * Good communication skills
