About the Opportunity Safeguard CNH’s assets by timely and effectively monitoring legal and/or bankruptcy proceedings with outside legal counsel as well a the CNH Law Department by recommending both cost effective and merited actions based upon facts/documentation/legal position.

 

Responsibilities

Interact with all appropriate personnel (both inside and outside of CNH) in all legal and/or bankruptcy matters to assure a timely, thorough and efficient resolution.  If legal action is to be recommended, review all potential facts that would effect CNH?s ability to have local counsel successfully file the recommended legal action.  This review would include the review of the customer?s securing documentation as well as determining customer?s current financial position to ensure not only the success of the planned action but also determine the action is cost effective. Assemble all pertinent information to be used in the potential legal action as required.  Timely follow all bankruptcy matters that are not assigned to local counsel for all necessary case updates and proper payments as dictated by the Bankruptcy court.  Proper usage of Bankruptcy product codes for more efficient account follow-up.  Accurate payment applications of accounts in assigned queue.  Daily review of mail.  Entering account information in LM Database as necessary.  Proper notation on the accounts in queue to ensure the information is current and accurate. Keep Supervisors and Management abreast of all legal proceedings and document account accordingly.  Any other tasks and duties as required.


Qualifications

Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code, bankruptcy law and legal proceedings, legal documentation review and the commercial finance industry.  BS or BA degree in related field preferred with 5 years of combined experience as a paralegal, law firm litigation matters, collections and or related experience. Ability to use internet for court docket information (PACER and Lexis), customer information, as well as collateral value information. Working knowledge or Altell and DSI collections systems.  Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Access.  Working knowledge of Feith document imaging software.
