Imports Coordinator for high-end apparel company!

ELIE TAHARI, an exclusive women?s apparel company, currently has an Import Coordinator position available in our Millburn, NJ facility.

Job Requirements include the following:

 Track all merchandise from the time it departs from the factory until it arrives at our warehouse. Ensure all parties responsible for any shortages, claims, or quality issues receive charge-backs. Update in-transit finished goods log. Liaise with customs broker to ensure customs clearance is processed immediately. Working with broker for any duty draw-backs and filing protests. Preparing all broker, freight, in-freight & export freight bills for payment (all companies) which includes supplying reference #, checking all prices, and coding each bill. Preparing any necessary T/T payments that have to do with the imports department.

 

Qualifications:

 Must have accurate data entry skills, be computer literate with MS Office software, good mathematical and people skills, and prior experience communicating effectively in person and over the phone is a must. Previous import experience with Canada is a HUGE plus. Knowledge of exports is an additional plus.Must have experience with Word and Outlook. Strong exposure to Excel and AS 400 is required.The key to this position is an understanding of import documentation to ensure prompt execution of customs clearance.

 

PREVIOUS IMPORT EXPERIENCE WITHIN APPAREL IS A MUST.
