National Interstate wants you to add your vision and drive to our team! We are currently seeking Underwriters for our Honolulu, HI location.  This is an entry-level opportunity that provides in-house training.

 

Responsibilities:Review and analyze commercial auto, property, liability, workers compensation insurance submissions to assess risk and build profitable book of businessAnalyze risk information such as loss control reports and motor vehicle reports to better utilize pricing models and to determine policy pricesMonitor accounts and obtain & review information such as collateral agreements and letters of creditWork cooperatively with Underwriting, Sales, Claims and Accounting staff to ensure excellent service to our customers

 

Qualifications we are looking for:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or universityRecent grads or 1-3 years business or analysis experienceAbility to read & interpret documents and to write reports and defend conclusionsKnowledge of PC's, including databases, word processing and spreadsheetsExcellent communication skillsAnalytical & quantitative abilityCPCU course of study and/or experience preferred
