Insurance & Actuarial Advisory Services Senior 1&2-006KP

Description Within our talented and dynamic Insurance & Actuarial Advisory Services group, the Senior Actuarial Assistant will participate in multiple actuarial consulting engagements as well as other related activities. The Senior Assistant has the freedom to work more independently than junior-level staff on moderately complex actuarial projects and assist in the training/supervision of staff members. Responsibilities
Perform actuarial services that include: loss reserving calculations, product development, rate setting, financial forecasting, valuation, pricing analyses, cash flow testing, and analyses of risk arrangements. Compile, validate, and format data for analyses and projections. Reference, interpret, and apply technical actuarial standards.

Stay informed of economic developments and understand their impact to the client. Continually progress towards attaining professional credentials from the Casualty Actuarial or Society of Actuaries.

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Perform engagement tasks, keep supervisors informed of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.

Develop people. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training and conduct performance reviews. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

To qualify for this excellent career opportunity, candidates must have:

* an undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and/or other related major
* approximately 2 years of experience in an actuarial-oriented position
* solid computer skills
* excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate must also be actively pursuing Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial or Society of Actuaries, with a minimum of 2 actuarial exams passed. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
