SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision, provides technical retirement plans marketing support to assigned territory to assist in creating and expanding sales of retirement plan investment products through broker/dealer community.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responds to telephone inquiries regarding defined contribution plans.
2. Develops, manages and maintains relationships with retirement plan advisors, third party administrators and retirement counterparts. Focuses on promoting and closing defined contribution plan sales.
3. Provides comprehensive technical support regarding retirement plan services, fees and procedural information for new plan set-up and take over plans.
4. Delivers complex retirement plan proposals and illustrations to advisors in assigned territory in order to generate sales.
5. Evaluates defined contribution plan needs, designs new retirement plans and reviews existing plans (e.g., determines plan provisions to meet client objectives, reviews prior plan provisions, determines whether plan design meets discrimination testing) for prospective clients.
6. Executes retirement plan sales campaigns by meeting goals established by supervisor. Initiates proactive callouts to retirement plan advisors, counterparts and plan sponsors regarding products and services that AIM can offer.
7. Acts as liaison between the advisor, client and Relationship Management team in establishment of new plans (e.g., gathers/reviews installation paperwork, coordinates special fee quotes).
8. Serves as a liaison between the Retirement Plan Consultants and advisors in negotiating plan administration fees for new plan proposals as needed.
9. Assists assigned Retirement Plan Consultant with generating proposals, ordering literature, following up with advisors and assisting with the closing process.
10. Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the Retirement Plan Consultants, Retirement Marketing Specialists, Relationship Managers, Retail Marketing Specialists and Wholesalers.
11. Performs research on competitor/industry practices.

WORK EXPERIENCE: One - two years of retirement plan sales experience is required. Knowledge of retirement plan products and distribution networks are preferred.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Completion of a Bachelor's degree or four years of related work experience required.

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: NASD Series 6 required within 90 days following the completion of training; Series 63 required within 90 days of obtaining Series 6 licensing.
