Position Overview:



ESI supplies high-value, high-technology manufacturing equipment to the global electronics market. Built upon a history and tradition of innovation that extends more than 50 years and operating roughly a $200M/year revenue level, we design and develop a broad portfolio of systems ranging in price from $150K to over $1.5M. More specifically, our equipment is used in the manufacture of digital and analog semiconductor devices, passive components, and electronic interconnect circuits as well as vision solutions for other OEM suppliers.




QUALIFICATIONS:



Public accounting experience with SEC clients preferred, high tech industry exposure with multi-national company strongly desired. Degree in Accounting, CPA candidate or CPA a plus. 4-5 years relevant experience required.



SKILLS:



Required:

Strong GL accounting knowledge and experience with intercompany accounting, understanding of GAAP and financial analysis skills. Understanding of foreign currencies, exchange rates and conversions. Previous hands-on, day-to-day experience with SAP FI modules (GL) and proficiency in MS Excel a must. Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables under time constraints. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, and aptitude for problem-solving plus ability to get to root cause of accounting issues. Must enjoy working in a team environment and be able to build rapport and follow up regularly with field office accountants. Self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented individual.



Preferred:

Comprehension and/or exposure to Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES:




Act as liaison with foreign offices on day-to-day accounting issues
Problem solve on accounting and SAP issues and communicate resolutions and decisions with foreign offices
Prepare and post journals for cross-charging of expenses between entities, reconcile intercompany accounts and post ad-hoc adjustments to books of foreign subsidiaries
Run Revaluation and Translation for foreign subsidiaries monthly in SAP
Provide first review of foreign subsidiary books submissions, including balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze for accuracy
Prepare monthly gross margin analyses for foreign subsidiaries and investigate unusual product margins
Prepare monthly operating expense and balance sheet fluctuation analyses for foreign subsidiaries
Assist with training of field office accountants in accounting and SAP matters
Assist with internal and external audit requests for foreign subsidiaries
Backup of Fixed Assets accounting when needed
