International Health Economics Sr. Manager

Job Description: Reporting to the International Director Health Economics and Marketing Science, the International Health Economics and Government Affairs Manager will:
- Develop and support health economics and reimbursement strategies for prioritized franchises and countries in global markets.
- Provide HE & Reimbursement market analysis as appropriate for New Business Development opportunities
- Design, develop, source sales & marketing tools and economic instruments that can be easily adapted for use by Country HE people for coordinated delivery to key decision makers - clinicians, ministries, payers, reimbursement and funding agencies, e.g., HE dossiers, HTA documentation.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic guidance to International Marketing on (with regard to) health economics, and reimbursement

As a business partner to marketing and the countries giving strategic input into business decisions and the marketing plans from health economic and marketing perspective to optimize the delivery of information that influence the favorable funding decisions on BSC technologies by healthcare providers and payers.

To provide guidance and input to pricing strategies

Creating health economic evidence- Creating Value Propositions

In line with project priority list develop health economics arguments and
instruments to support reimbursement and marketing of new and existing products across international.

Design, or source modeling methodologies to optimize messaging and favorable perception of BSC technologies as required

Support local health economics and public affairs managers with health economic and outcomes data that address the challenge or obstacle of adoption

Accomplish through cost-effectiveness modeling; analysis of health outcomes collected through clinical trials; design of case report forms; cost analysis; competitive market assessments.

Review clinical trial protocols and give input into protocols and CRFs from a health economics' perspective. Ensure HE requirements built into CRTs

Develop publication strategies in support of key products and disease areas that create a body of evidence related to BSC technologies



HE Strategic guidance to Product Development programmes
Ensures HE guidance and input is given to PDP, clinical, and regulatory teams to ensure reimbursement strategies increase probability of funding at time of regulatory approval.

Support Training and Development of International and Country Teams
Lead and support efforts to provide pragmatic training both at International and Country level on new methodologies, tools, external landscape changes e.g. how to work with and handle health technology assessment groups.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:


Demonstrated knowledge of international reimbursement and health care systems and legislative policies in key markets required.

The position requires a degree in either life science or economics, with post graduate qualification in health economics, public health, epidemiology, public policy or marketing

Over 5+ years experience in health economics and outcomes planning in the medical (pharmaceutical or device industry), industry related, consultancy or payer organization

2 to 3 years experience in other functions (marketing/ clinical/ consultancy) within the medical industry, and demonstrating experience working within matrix organization

Working knowledge of :
Reimbursement processes of devices or drugs in major markets, such as Germany, UK, Australia, Canada, China or Brazil,
Modeling techniques to support customer friendly use of health economic data (clinical and non clinical decision makers) and modeling of health economic data


Utilizing health economic data to support market access through the interaction of health economic efforts, marketing and sales to gain funding &/or reimbursement and drive increased adoption of technologies

Appropriate understanding an application of various clinical trials designs and how they relate to economic and outcomes data

Research skills in relation to literature and outcomes review (systematic reviews, meta-analysis) to lead successful programs or campaigns

Fluency in English (written and oral) required and an additional language preferred
