Managed Care Specialist

Queens Long Island Medical Group, PC, located in Garden City, NY, is currently seeking a Managed Care Specialist to audit claims, provide analytical support in regards to the organization?s overall financial and operational performance, manage the claims submission process as per designated contracts, serve as a liaison between the department and Medical Management to improve financial performance while working with various internal departments to increase membership. Other responsibilities include performing rate analyses while negotiating provider contracts based on network needs. Other duties as delegated by the Finance-Managed Care Manager.

 

Bachelors? degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Math and/or relevant discipline and 2+ years of experience in a Healthcare environment required. Knowledge of claims is a must. Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, presentation, leadership and teamwork skills required. Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office ? specifically Excel, Powerpoint and Access (or other relational database querying application) ? is required for this position.
