The Finance Manager provides financial and analytical support for business unit initiatives.  Responsibilities include the preparation of financial plans, consolidated reporting, and analytical support for operational and strategic issues.







 



MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:







 



* Plays a key role in annual and mid-year planning and forecasting processes;







 



* Actively participates in developing sales and revenue forecasting and tracking of results.  Works with business unit to prepare and present finalized forecasts to senior management;







 



* Oversees monthly reporting and variance analysis processes;







 



* Monitors decisions about controllable costs and capital expenditures.  Provides financial analysis and support of initiatives and acquisitions and monitors results versus business cases and board papers;







 



* Ensures financial information is accurate and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies and procedures;







 



* Provides finance and business leadership with recommendations to make appropriate decisions and to achieve targets;







 



* Provides analytical and business modeling support through active participation in projects that identify and assess proposed actions and future opportunities;







 



* Provides support for various strategic, analytical and operational projects;







 



* Provides ongoing development of staff to ensure career growth and continued challenges.







 



























































































































Qualifications

 Education and Experience



* Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting required.  MBA or CPA preferred;





* 8+ years of related finance experience;





* 2+ years of management/supervisory experience preferred.







 

Knowledge and Skills 

* Strong experience in financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, and management reporting;





* Experience in the development and implementation of business-wide finance strategies and programs;





* Proven ability to interact and influence executives in a dynamic business environment, including formal presentations;





* Full working knowledge of financial and general accounting practices and procedures;





* Excellent analytical skills;





* Excellent leadership skills, including coaching and team building;





* Excellent project management skills;





* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;





* Ability to influence and work with peers within a highly matrixed environment;
