Manager Finance - Sales Finance - National Accounts East

Leverage their financial expertise for competitive advantage with the customer by improving internal and external financial processes.Jointly with Director, Sales Finance, establish working knowledge about the customer's financial goals and working relationship with the customer's financial organization to facilitate achieving positive business results.
Integrate customer financial learnings into the team's development, alignment, and execution of its customer plan.
Provide selling expense forecast and analyze monthly variances between actual results, current estimate, plan, and prior year.
Summarize variances and discuss with Director, Sales Finance and VP Sales.
Work with Sales Team and Customer Service to clear deductions, research proof of performance, track invalids/refuse to repay and report/analyze deduction balances and aging.
Provide management with potential opportunities and risks to selling expense and deduction balances through analysis of actual performance trends.
Assist in the preparation/evaluation of monthly and quarterly Sales Metrics including brand and customer volume, IRI performance, deduction balances, headcount, selling expense, distribution gains/losses and retail availability.
Develop customer team selling expense plan.
Responsible for coordinating input into the financial planning system and work with Sales Finance and Sales Team to validate accuracy and reasonableness of data.
Provide analysis on customer cost to serve and customer profitability.
Assist in analysis/preparation of customer trade plan.
Assist in developing management reports through functional knowledge of the following systems: Business Warehouse, SAP, and Legacy Order Management Systems/Sales Systems.
Provide financial input and support into the management of all sales operations. This includes hierarchy changes, company asset tracking, analysis of Sales and logistics initiatives.
Integrate sales forecasts and provide relevant analysis to VP of Sales.
Provide formal and informal training on financial concepts and systems to team members.
Manage, develop and train team Financial Analyst in systems, analysis and initiatives.Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field with minimum of 6+ years financial management experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry.
Fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key financial recommendations.
Solid interpersonal, organizational and financial skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
