Manager Financial Planning and Analysis

Position Description:

General Summary
Manage financial and tactical objectives to support management in the achievement of business objectives for a department or business unit. Responsible for assisting in the development of budgets and in forecasting, analyzing, and evaluating financial plans. Provides value-added financial/investment analysis and cost estimates/savings. First line supervisor of professionals engaged in financial analysis activities. Supervises day-to-day activities including coordination and administration of assignments.

Principal Accountabilities
Ability to manage function, allocate resources, set priorities and coordinate many interdependent groups
Involves varied tasks requiring advance problem solving skills
Conceives ideas for solutions to problems
Assesses feasibility of proposed solutions and participates in the resolution of issues
Resolves conflict problems escalated by junior staff
Job Complexity
Analyzes problems and finds new ideas and efficient ways to resolve and improve processes and systems
Encourages the application of new and improved methodologies
Maintains current knowledge of finance discipline
Must help others in learning how to manage projects

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
Minimum education required: BA
Education preferred: MBA
Minimum Experience: 5 Years

Qualifications
Bachelors degree, plus 5-7 years related experience
CPA and/or MBA, plus 3-5 years of related experience.
