MANAGER OF TRADING OPERATIONS

Split Rock Energy (SRE) is a wholesale electrical power marketing and trading organization; it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Great River Energy. We are currently hiring a Manager of Trading Operations.

We seek a highly organized and pro active person to provide leadership and supervision to the proprietary trading group, establish and implement strategies which will integrate with SRE goals. This individual is responsible for management of trading activities related to development; implementation and execution of SRE approved strategies. We require the highest level of technical knowledge and expertise in the power trading field. Must establish and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally to facilitate cohesive communication and work results. Selects brokers and online trading platforms for use by SRE traders. Optimizes trading activities through evaluation, negotiation, monitoring market and adhering to risk management guidelines.? This position manages a team of 10 and reports to the President of the organization.

This position requires: a minimum of 7 years experience in the Power Trading or Commodity Hedging area. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related technical field. Our ideal candidate will possess the highest level of interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with all SRE internal and external customers. Must maintain positive and productive working relationships. Strong technical skills are required. The individual in this position must be business focused, flexible and able to demonstrate teamwork.
