Manager of Financial Analysis

Description

1. Assistance in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
2. Monthly analysis of performance vs. targets and assistance with interpretation of results.
3. Investment analysis and financial modeling.
4. Prepare financial analysis as required to support tactical decision-making and problem solving and assisting on special projects as they arise.
5. Support of long range strategic plans and strategic analyses. Analysis of market trends, working with the product line managers to help in the understanding of their products, market trends, and competitive impacts.
6. Financial analysis of acquisition targets and potential support with integration of acquisitions.
7. Ensure that company policies and procedures for financial processes and controls are consistently communicated and implemented.
This may include training and development of written documentation.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities


Preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets as per parent company deadlines.  Preparation of monthly analysis vs. budget and forecasts as required by functional business units and headquarters financial management. Preparation of financial models and appropriate Harcourt forms to assess viability of development or capital projects. Communication and implementation of new financial policies, processes or procedures.

 

Requirements


Experience required:
1. Minimum of five years of progressive business experience in a financial analysis role.
2. Investment analysis of capital projects.
3. Exposure to ERP systems and excellent Excel modeling skills.
4. History of financial consultative roles as business advisor to operational management.
5. History of monthly financial reporting responsibility.

Experience preferred:
1. Experience with analysis of acquisitions is strongly preferred.
2. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
3. Some experience with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Education required
Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or Accounting.


Education preferred:
MBA highly preferred. CPA preferred.
