Manager of Financial Reporting

Top client of ours in Northern NJ is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting. The primary responsibilities of this role include: - Preparation, review and filing of SEC financial filings, including EDGARization of annual 10-K, and quarterly 10-Qs, footnotes to the financial statements and Management Discussion and Analysis - Monitor and assess the impact of FASB, EITF and SEC newly released financial accounting statements and pronouncements and assist in the corporate implementation - Coordinate with the Legal and Treasury Departments for other SEC filings (8K, S-4) - Must interface with Company's Executive management, outside public accountants, internal accounting, treasury and legal departments on an as needed basis - Manage Sarbanes Oxley compliance for Financial Reporting controls assessment and remediation - Supervise staff and senior accountants - Draft and review accounting policies and procedures This position requires a strong leader with proven ability to partner, and work in a multi-cultural, and team environment. Qualifications :
- BA or BS degree in Accounting - MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting a plus - CPA required - Approximately 7 years of financial reporting and SEC experience, with at least 3 years of public accounting/Big 4 public accounting and 4 years "hands on" experience in a corporate environment - Strong technical accounting experience in a public company - Superior knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, current accounting issues and trends - Experience with computer based ERP systems, especially Oracle Financials and Hyperion a plus - Proven problem solving and analytical abilities along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Word - Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
