Manufacturing Controller

Holcim (US) Inc., one of the nation?s largest manufacturers and distributors of cement and mineral components, has an immediate opening for a self-starting, results-oriented experienced Manufacturing Controller at its Corporate Headquarters in Waltham, MA.  This individual is responsible for:

 

? Preparation and coordination of all federal, state and local income tax returns, estimates and extensions. 

? Prepare financial statement tax accrual workpapers and footnote.

? Conduct technical tax research relevant to planning projects and tax audits

? Respond to federal and state audits and inquiries.

? Identify tax-saving opportunities and engage in tax planning projects.

? Cross train and provide assistance in other tax areas, such as sales and property tax

? Coordination of all work performed with Income Tax Manager, Corporate Tax Manager and with external auditors

? Some travel may be required

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor?s degree in accounting.  A CPA is preferred.  At least four years of income tax preparation and planning experience preferred.  Advanced knowledge of federal and state taxation and intermediate knowledge of international taxation is required.

Experience with other types of taxes, such as property and sales/use tax is helpful.  Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and database applications is also required.   Experience with RIA and SAP software is a plus.
