Responsibilities:

To supervise employees of the A/P department, ensuring that production requirements are met and that employees are accomplishing established.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervise 10-12 employees.

2. Work closely with staff to resolve problems that arise on a day-to-day basis.

3. Develop and implement new policies, procedures or changes in departmental procedures as needed to optimize efficiency and accuracy of work.

4. Will assist manager with miscellaneous projects.

5. Interface with G/L accountants, acquisitions personnel and other departments to resolve accounting problems.

6. Identify and correct causes of errors within the department.

7. Interact with other departments to improve/establish policies and procedures.

8. Develop and implement procedures for staff.

9. Provide work direction for lesser experienced employees, work scheduling, training, review work performed and give feedback to employee, input to management for performance appraisal, and recommend to management on salary actions.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required. Two or Four year degree in related field preferred.

Experience: 5 years of Accounts Payable experience. Previous experience in a large corporate environment and in a high volume accounts payable unit is a plus.

Other: This position requires taking calls from branches and departments regarding, A/P issues, interfacing with G/L department on accounting changes, interfacing with various departments regarding workflow within A/P dept, and working with vendors to resolve problems.
