Modeling Analyst (Financial Analyst)

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

 

1.  Master?s degree in business administration, finance, statistics, or math preferred.

2.  Minimum of 2 years of quantitative analysis experience.

3.  Experience in the consumer lending industry is preferred.

4.  Experience in using Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word required.

5.  Experience in using Statistical Software preferred.

6.  Limited travel required.

 

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

 

This Associate will work in the Credit Risk Department of WOFC and will be responsible for creating data sets, analyzing data and creating data models in the Loss, Originations and Pro-active lease areas.  Models will be built to predict credit and full term losses for owned and purchased assets.  The Associate will also be tasked with creating and running weekly and monthly reports having to do with portfolio losses and projections.  The ability to work independently is a critical success factor associated with this position. 

 

The Candidate must have excellent analytical skills, knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and software, and an ability to work and communicate with others in the Department.  The Candidate must also be very detail-oriented, be able to handle multiple tasks, have strong time management skills, and remain focused on department goals and objectives.
