Operations Support Consultant

Our client, a premier banking institution seeks OPERATIONS SUPPORT CONSULTANT for private wealth management sector.  This project calls for a driven, detail-oriented person, with HEDGE FUND PROCESSING experience.  This is a temporary assignment; successful candidates will be contacted for an introductory interview.

 

Hedge Funds Processing:

 
Purchases
Redemptions
Transfers (heavy on the transfer side, especially offshore hedge funds)
Exchanges for the above (cusip roll-ups)

 

Responsibilities will include:

 
Ensure accounts qualify to purchase funds.  Dealing with agreements, legal dept etc.
Prepare money transfer instructions
Execute orders in Longview (system we use to trade/instruct)
Marking and allocating the orders
Faxing purchase form and emailing same to fund administrator with breakdown details
Confirm final series
Process exchange/roll up instructions
Reconcile confirm with Longview
Request cusip set up
Filing and other administrative duties as necessary
Receive redemption figures
Prepare redemption form
Fax form to fund administrators
Email breakdown of series redeemed to fund administrators
Reconcile confirmations

 

Job Requirements include:
2 to 5 years experience in hedge fund environment
Mutual funds knowledge as well
Bachelor?s degree in Finance or related field
Excellent proficiency with MS Office suite

Strong communication skills ? both verbal and written

Compensation DOE, $20-25/hr.  Consultants are eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision coverage) through Spherion after 30 days on assignment.
