Payroll Agent

  This person contributes to the success of The Pepsi Bottling Group by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of end-to-end payroll processing, and all related payroll activities, for employees spanning multiple states and/or provinces.  This person builds and sustains strong business relationships and delivers value through optimal transaction processing and customer service.

 

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Processes weekly/bi-weekly gross-to-net payroll cycles supported by an in-house Payroll system, including all earnings and deductions (e.g., time and attendance, commission, auto-pay, bonus, severance, United Way, union, STD)
Processes weekly adjustment cycle checks, paycheck reversals, check corrections, and manual checks
Maintains employee-level data, including direct deposits, general deductions, and additional pay in a Payroll system
Complies with all federal, state, and local payroll policies and procedures
Resolves payroll issues through partnerships with the Field
Supports other Payroll Service Center team members as necessary
Provides front-line support for field-based payroll processes and payroll systems (e.g., timekeeping system data uploads)
Assists Call Center Specialists with the resolution of escalated customer inquiries
Coordinates payroll processing efforts with Garnishments and ExecComp Specialists
Builds and sustains effective partnerships with field and HQ groups




 

Basic Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of 2 years payroll experience or comparable relevant business experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Flexibile working hours

PeopleSoft experience
