Plan Administrator

The primary purpose of this position is plan administration, compliance testing, governmental filings and related consulting. This position will be responsible for interacting with the client regarding the administration of the plan. Performs plan administration for retirement plans.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include things such as:
? Update and review of census and eligibility
? Basic trust accounting
? Allocations of contributions, income and forfeitures
? Process plan distributions and loans
? Compliance testing (including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy)
? Review plan documents
? Preparation of Government forms (e.g. 5500s, 5330)
? Communication with client contacts and brokers
? Maintain up-to-date code and regulations/research
? Billing and Accounts Receivable follow-up
? Assist in communication with IRS on audits
? Perform other duties as assigned
? Regular attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours is required

LANGUAGE SKILLS
This position interacts at all levels within the organization as well as with external contacts. Because of this, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to ensure the daily projection of a professional customer-focused image. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
No exceptional physical demands are required of the incumbent beyond those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. The incumbent must have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. The incumbent will spend majority of on- the-job time sitting. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. TRAVEL DEMANDS
Occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

EDUCATION
This position requires that the incumbent possess a Bachelor?s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or 3+ to 7 years related experience and/or training in plan administration and a background in traditional or balance forward record keeping; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be working towards or successfully completed exams administered by the American Society of Pension Professional & Actuaries (ASPPA) leading toward the QKA or QPA designation.
