About the position:

We are currently seeking an experienced Porfolio Administrator

Growing San Francisco-based wealth management firm is seeking a Portfolio Administrator to manage all aspects of back-office operations and reporting.  We currently manage over $150 million for our high net worth clients, overseeing about 200 investment portfolios. We are looking to add a capable operations professional to enhance and support our growing business.

 The ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys motivating him/herself and is capable of prioritizing and completing detailed projects with minimal supervision. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

? Set up new accounts in Advent Axys and at the custodian bank, ensuring that each account is linked to the appropriate custodian bank?s interface.

?  Post and reconcile daily activities from custodian?s downloaded files to Advent?s Axys portfolio accounting system.

?  Research and resolve all issues related to corporate actions, stock splits, mergers, etc.

?  Reconcile Axys portfolios with custodian banks on a monthly basis.

?  Take the initiative to resolve any discrepancies between Advent data and custodian data as they arise.

?  Update portfolio performance in Axys on a monthly basis.

?  Produce quarterly reporting packages accurately and on a timely basis.

?  Produce custom monthly updates for clients who request them.

?  Create new/custom portfolio reports as requested by client or the investment team.

?  Assist with trading activities as needed.

?  Assist with other related projects as they arise.

 

Job Qualifications: 

?  BA/BS, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.

?  At least 2 years of experience in portfolio accounting and/or the investment industry in general is preferred.

?  Knowledge of Advent Axys.

?  Quick learner who will take the initiative to acquire new skills and knowledge without prompting.

?  Must possess a knack for detail and a drive to see problems through to their resolution.

?  Self-motivated; thrives in an environment with minimal supervision.

?  Flexible and willing to contribute on miscellaneous projects as needed.

?  Upbeat team player who is comfortable working with a small, friendly group of professionals.

?  Knowledge of CFA Institute performance presentation standards is a plus.
