Pricing Manager

CITY: Chicago STATE: Illinois COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* The Pricing Manager will create, utilize and modify pricing models to help maximize profitability. This includes development and maintenance of profitability measurement data as well as initiating and implementing new quantitative methods to help enable Rail Services to determine pricing and revenue management strategies
* Develop and maintain pricing models that integrate sales data, cost data, industry information, current pricing practices and policies etc. to identify revenue-generating opportunities
* Analyze business needs and complete deal pricing and structuring. Will interact with Sales, Risk Management and Finance as part of this process
* Develop the implementation of strategic pricing initiatives to enhance net income
* Create metrics to monitor actual pricing performance vs. plan
* Develop and maintain desktop procedure documentation to ensure best practices are followed
* Various projects and ad-hoc analysis




Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fiel
* 5+ years of experience including: pricing and in-depth financial modeling
* Proficient with advanced Excel and PowerPoint functions
* Willingness to work in Chicago.
* Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check.




Desired:
* MBA, CFA and/or CPA
* SuperTrump experience
* Financial Services experience
* Knowledge of leasing industry, rail a plus
* Demonstrated ability to succeed in a team environment
* Highly effective communication, analytical and problem solving skills
* Must be comfortable giving presentations to senior management
