Private Loan Manager

Job Duties

The Private Loans Manager will be responsbible for all day to day activities as it relates to managing the defaulted proivate loan portfolio. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing the private loans portfolios, inlcuding, but not limited to: reporting, colllection agency relations, contract review, performance monitoring and improvement, managing system development schedules, implementation issues, coordinating projects and individuals across several departments and all levels of management.

This position will develop, plan, coordinate, and administer all aspects required for managing defautled private loans. Responsibilities include project leadership, representing the department in meetings, coordinating efforts of staff th roughout Sallie Mae, conducting research, solving complex issues, making and documenting recommendations, developing project plans, and delegating tasks. Projects may vary in size, complexity, and impact and cover process, system, regulatory, and policy issues. This position will collect, compute, and analyze accurate and timely statistics/information used in decision making and planning activities.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION:

C Professional level of knowledge in a specialized field acquired by completing a four-year college program is required. Specific field(s) of study: Business, Project Management, Organization Leadership, or related.

 

EXPERIENCE -

C 5-6 years of financial services or student loan industry experience.

C 1-2 years experience in systems support and research and development.

C Prior experience in a leadership position.

C Ability to maintain a work environment that promotes productivity and quality while maintaining positive employee motivation and high morale levels of staff.

C Proven project leadership skills.

C Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

C Presentation/public speaking experience in small and large groups.

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA and/or CPA preferred
