We are currently seeking a Procurement Project Manager to join our Procurement team at our Roseland, New Jersey Headquarters.

The basic functions of this position are to assist with the management of the Company?s daily procurement activities as well as the development of policies, procedures and strategies to support corporate goals. Position will also coordinate or assist with upgrades related to ERP, E-Procurement and any other procurement initiatives as well as
enact procurement strategies developed by the Director of Procurement Services.

The position will work with all levels of management to develop purchasing requirements, create process efficiencies to assure compliance with policies and procedures, and will be proactive in working with current and future suppliers to develop effective business relations. The position will interact with Organon International, Akzo Nobel as well as outside suppliers

Duties will also include:

Negotiate and finalize global purchasing agreements which includes, but is not limited to, researching issues, conferring with world-wide colleagues, and negotiating with suppliers.

Assist management with implementing procurement strategies, policies and procedures.

Develop supplier-sourcing strategies to support global initiatives.

Identify and source contracted or outsourcing opportunities.

Assess and validate current and future suppliers? capabilities.

Develop and maintain a complete list of all service contracts and works with end-users to ensure contract compliance.

Schedules review of contracts for renewal

Ensure that adherence to supplier performance measurements are met.

Develop comprehensive Request for Proposal, Information and quotation.

Assist with negotiations of contracts as required.

Develop staff to improve department capabilities.

Actively pursue programs that will increase Company profits through cost reduction and value-added improvements.

Investigate and secure new/ alternative sources of supply, technology, and services which are advantageous to the company.

Develop and maintain strategic supplier relations.

Develop, lead and or coordinate special projects as required.

Establish and maintain supplier profiles.

Participate in initiatives to improve department?s performance

Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor?s degree in Science or Business (advanced degree preferred) with seven (7) years? relevant procurement experience.

Thorough understanding of purchasing techniques, supply chain methods, EnterpriseOne ERP system knowledge.

Strong negotiating skills; sound analytical skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, Projects.

Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work with a diverse group.

Goal oriented individual with ability to lead, work on or coordinate multiple projects at the same time within a high volume, time sensitive environment.
